Hello, 3rd through 5th grade friends! 
This week is all about word games. 
There are a number of games that are educational and can help you learn new things, all while having fun. Here are some fun games for you to try.



Click on Room Recess to find a page full of fun reading games.


It's always fun to doodle! Give Quick Draw a try and see how good you are at doodling.


Spelling City offers some fun games to build spelling, vocabulary, and grammar skills. Once you get to the homepage, click the FREE button. My favorite game is called "Hang Mouse".


 Find some of your favorite characters at PBS Kids. There's a lot to explore and play on this site.

Plain and simple, kids (and adults!) enjoy playing games. Games are fun and an important tool for learning.

You'll find a variety of games and videos to play on Mathplayground

Do you need practice with your math facts? Practice your math facts with these flashcards. Find addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division flashcards, from basic math facts to 3-digit problems.

What is digital citizenship? 
  • Digital citizenship refers to the responsible use of technology by anyone who uses a computer, the Internet, and digital devices to engage with others on any level. 


There are rules that you need to follow when you are a digital citizen, to protect yourself and to protect others. 


Let's take a look at a few ways you can be a safe and responsible digital citizen.

  • San Diego Zoo: The San Diego Zoo has a website just for kids with many great videos, activities, and games.

  • Check out the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Join them on their live web cams during the week for narrated feedings (times are posted on the website) 

  • The Great Wall of China: This Virtual Tour of the Great Wall of China is beautiful and makes history come to life.
